Based upon a concept started man years earlier Norfolk and Suffolk 4X4 Response was the first dedicated group of its kind.
Formed in 1999 to support the local community in times of adverse weather the group is open to any make and model of 4x4.
The group provides a coordinated fleet of 4x4s, spread across the 2 counties. The drivers have been assessed and where necessary trained to operate their vehicles safely and professionally.
With minimum levels of equipment for safety and recovery and additional kit which, in many cases, includes long range VHF/UHF radio transceivers. The drivers are ready to be called out at any time of the day or night toprovide an invaluable service when required.
